Naupa Iglesia and the Perolniyoc Waterfalls are two fascinating destinations in the region of Cusco, Peru, that encompass history, mysticism, and natural beauty in a unique setting. Naupa Iglesia, a mysterious cave located in the heights of the Andes, is a sacred place that has captivated explorers and scholars for centuries. With its enigmatic rock paintings and its atmosphere charged with mystery, Naupa Iglesia invites visitors to delve into the ancestral past of the region and connect with the spirituality of the Inca culture.
On the other hand, the impressive Perolniyoc Waterfalls offer a natural spectacle of imposing beauty. The water falls forcefully from the heights of the Andes, creating rainbows in its path and filling the air with its roar. Surrounded by lush vegetation and mountainous landscapes, the Perolniyoc waterfalls are a haven of peace and serenity, where nature unfolds all its grandeur and majesty.
Exploring Naupa Iglesia and marveling at the Perolniyoc Waterfalls is immersing oneself in a unique journey through time and nature, where history and beauty intertwine to create an unforgettable experience for all the senses.
This day we will begin with the pick-up from your hotel at 8:00 and then head towards Naupa Church, but first we will pass through different towns in Cusco that we will be able to appreciate along the route until we reach this beautiful archaeological site.
Upon reaching the starting point we will ascend for about 20 minutes until we reach this beautiful and very old construction that we dare to say, was before the Incas. Later we will return to where we left the car trail to go to the community of Socma, the starting point of our walk.
After 1:30 of light walking we will arrive at the majestic Perolniyoc Waterfalls and we will have enough time to enjoy this beautiful place, relax, have snacks, take photos and connect with the Waterfall.
To complete this great experience we will visit one of the Aja Wasis (Andean Bar) located in Pachar town, where we could try Chicha (Corn Beer), the traditional drink of Cusco.
After lunch we will return to your hotel
