The Palccoyo Rainbow Mountain Range is a little known place located in the community of Palccoyo in the district of Checacupe, at 4,900 meters above sea level, approximately,
It is an experience recommended for lovers of hiking and mystical tourism because of the impressive forest of stones that can also be visited.
From “La Cordillera Arcoíris de Palccoyo” you can see the impressive mountain of Ausangate.
This excursion begins around 4:30 a.m. when we pick you up from your hotel in our private transport. You will travel for two hours to the town of Cusipata for breakfast.
After about an hour and a half, you will arrive at the quaint town of Palccoyo. Once we arrive at Palcoyo Mountain, you will prepare to begin the exploration of the site. The guide will take you to see the three colorful mountains, the stone forest, and you will have enough time to take photos, listen to the guide’s explanations, and enjoy the area and its beautiful landscapes
From here, you will have time to appreciate the wonderful landscape, gaze at the imposing snow-capped Ausangate (6,372m / 20,900 feet), and even catch a glimpse of part of the Red Valley, whose sediments form the red river.
