After being picked up from your hotel at 9:00 am, we will head to Chinchero. Then, our first visit will be to the archaeological center full of well-preserved Inca altars. Then, our next visit will be to the Textile Center for the introduction and learning experience of the art of Andean textiles. Chinchero weavers will guide you through a step-by-step process of the ancient science of Andean weaving as it was done before the Incas.
Our next stop is Moray and its panoramic terraces of concentric rings. This beautiful place has been shown to be an experimentation center to understand the different temperatures of different crops or agricultural plants, perhaps even used for the domestication of different vegetables.
Afterwards, we will descend towards the Maras salt mines, a vital production center that dates back to pre-Inca times. Likewise, there are more than 3,000 salt pools dug into the mountainside, which are filled daily with water seeping from the Earth.
Upon returning we will have the opportunity to see the Huaypo lagoon, to finally arrive at your hotel.
