In the highlands of the Andes, the Andean marriage is much more than a simple ceremonial event; it is a profound ritual that unites not only two individuals but also their families, communities, and Mother Earth. This ancient tradition reflects the spiritual connection and harmony with nature that characterize Andean cultures, where each element of the ceremony holds symbolic meaning that transcends the material.
From offerings to Pachamama to traditional chants and dances, the Andean marriage is a testament to respect for the earth, the cosmos, and the energies that surround us. It is a sacred moment to celebrate love, union, and the continuity of life, honoring the cultural and spiritual roots of one of the most culturally rich and ancient traditions in the world.
This day we pick you up from the airport to your hotel and the rest of the day you can rest and let your body acclimatize to the altitude and be ready for the great day.
For this celebration we will pick you up from your hotel at 9 am, we will choose a special place where the wedding will take place and the places we recommend to choose are Chinchero or Quillarumiyoc to seek the blessing of the mountains.
Then, our Master will meet with you to explain the deep meaning of this ceremony and tell you about the miracle of being together in Love. Before the ceremony, a cleansing ritual is performed with incense and floral essences.
A Despacho (Offering) is prepared for Pachamama (Mother Earth) as an act of gratitude for all the blessings we receive. The offering is prepared with many natural elements such as seeds and sweets, but the most important element is coca leaves. At the end, the challa (toast) is made to celebrate the joy and miracle of the union of soul mates.
After the ceremony, the transportation will take us to the Ollantaytambo station to take the train and go to Achuas Calientes. In this special town you will have a romantic dinner.
After having a delicious breakfast we will go to the bus station to take the buses to the majestic Citadel of Machu Picchu, also known as “The Crystal Condor”. After a 25 minute bus ride to Machu Picchu, where we will have to present the entry tickets with your passport.
Your tour guide will take you to the best views and the best-known places that this beautiful place has. The guided tour lasts approximately 2 hours. You will also have moments of connection and receive the blessing of Machu Picchu for the sacred and ancestral union that you had.
Since in the time of the Incas this place was considered one of the most important and spiritual.
At the end of the visit we will take the bus to Aguas Calientes for lunch and then board the train back to Ollantaytambo. Finally, a private bus will take you back to Cusco and back to your hotel.
If you are thinking of hiking to the Huayna Picchu mountain or the Machu Picchu mountain, you will have to reserve your tickets well in advance.
