Cusco – Humantay
We will start the day by picking you up from your hotel at 4:00 in the morning to take you on a trip of approximately 3 hours to the town of Mollepata (2,900 masl / 9,515 feet). Where we will have a delicious breakfast and thus fill ourselves with energy to head to Soraypampa (3,850 meters above sea level / 12,631 feet).
From where we will begin the walk, at the same time our guide will give you all the necessary instructions, if you wish you can rent horses offered by the inhabitants of the area.
During the ascent to Humantay lagoon, we will have the opportunity to observe the diverse flora and fauna that inhabits the area. Remember that the hike will be a challenge and will go through rocks and uneven paths, using walking sticks is a good idea, take your time, drink water and enjoy, which is the most important thing.
Later, we will delight in the spectacular views of Humantay Lagoon (4,200 meters above sea level / 13,779 feet) and its turquoise waters where you can take panoramic photographs. Above all, we will thank the Pachamama and the Apus with a small offering of coca leaves.
After having relaxed and revitalized with the energies of the Andes, we will descend to Soraypampa where our transportation will be waiting for us to take us to Mollepata. Arriving here we will have our lunch, and then transport us back to the city of Cusco and leave it at the hotel. In this way we conclude our excursion to the Humantay lagoon.
